Introduction

What causes your hair to fall out?

Anyone can lose their hair, it might be because of heredity, or due to hormonal imbalance, medical condition, normal part of aging. It is more commonly found in men like baldness

But what is baldness? It is referring to excessive hair loss due to hormonal imbalance or genes. But every one of us will experience hair fall at some point in our life. But let’s talk about hair fall in young people.

Hair fall in adults or teenagers: Nowadays it is very common as we can see that even 20-year-old boys facing hair fall issues. This is due to the following reasons:

1  1. Bad choice of food or bad diet
      2. Excessive heat in the body
 3. Dehydration
 4. Less blood circulation to the scalp
 5. DHT
 6. Health condition

1. Bad choice of food or bad diet: Yes, a bad diet or excessive junk food can lead to hair fall. Avoid eating junk foods and start eating foods that are loaded with minerals, vitamins, and protein. Why protein is required for hairs? because our hair follicles are mostly made of protein and other vitamins. Include biotin in your diet which increases the production of a hair protein called keratins this is why nowadays biotin is gaining its popularity in the market.

2. Excessive heat in the body: Well, most people don’t know that heat produced in your body can also lead to hair fall. How?  Well, this will affect your body in two ways, it weakens your hair follicles, dehydrates your body. Start including water-rich foods like cucumber, green lentils in your diet which cools your inner system.

3. Dehydration: Many people do not drink enough water which makes your body dehydrated. Increase your water intake. 2 to 3 liters per day suggested. But how it is impacting your hair? well as I mention before dehydration causes weak hair follicles, not only that it is the water that carries nutrients in your blood vessels. So, you better start drinking water.

4. Less blood circulation to the scalp: whatever you eat or whatever you drink but if it is not reaching your scalp then it is of no use. So, improve your blood circulation to the scalp. This can be done by doing 30 minutes exercise. perform headstand and yoga.

5. DHT:  First of all, let's understand what is dihydrotestosterone (DHT)?

In simple words, it is an androgen or by-product of testosterone but it is not a bad thing. In fact, it is very helpful in forming male genitalia for pregnancy. This same DHT is also responsible for hair growth on the chest, on any other part of the body. But when it reaches beyond its limit it blocks the hair follicles in the scalp thereby making our hairs weak and also restricting the important nutrients. 

But how are we gonna solve it?

Well, one effective method is to use hair thickening shampoo or sprays to keep DHT off your hair. But it is not much effective. We need to treat it internally from its source. One way to do that is to consult a hair specialist.

Foods that will help you to reduce hair fall:

Watermelon: Watermelons are loaded with nutrients that are known for reducing or blocking DHT.

Dry fruits: These iron, protein, and vitamin-loaded dry fruits will help you to make your hair follicles stronger.

Include fish in your diet or meals: Why fish? Well, fishes are loaded with a key element which is known as omega 3 fatty acid. This omega 3 will do wonders for your hair.

One final piece of advice from my personal experience is, Start drinking water.
